The Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission (FWWPCC) is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Operator . We're seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all FWWPCC facilities, equipment, and collection systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment and collection systems
• Collect samples, perform process control testing, record keeping and basic laboratory analysis
• Conduct routine facility cleaning, snow removal, and lawn maintenance
• Serve as on-call operator for a seven-day period on a rotating schedule (including holidays)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Wisconsin Wastewater Operator Certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour , depending on qualifications
