Position Summary:
The Roof Welder is responsible for performing aluminum MIG spool gun welding on roof frames, enclosure wall base frames, and related aluminum components used in Coastline Power Solutions' production process. This position requires excellent aluminum MIG welding experience, strong fabrication skills, accurate measuring ability, and the ability to safely use common hand and power tools. This role is critical to the quality and structural integrity of Coastline's enclosures. The Roof Welder must be able to read a tape measure accurately, fit and align aluminum components, operate welding equipment properly, and produce consistent welds that meet Coastline standards. Key Responsibilities Aluminum Welding and Fabrication Perform aluminum MIG welding on roof frames, enclosure wall base frames, and related aluminum assemblies. Fit, tack, and weld aluminum components according to drawings, work instructions, fixtures, and production requirements. Measuring, Layout, and Fit-Up Accurately read and use a tape measure. Use squares, levels, clamps, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools. Ensure completed frames and assemblies meet required specifications and Coastline quality standards. Tool and Equipment Use Safely operate aluminum spool gun, MIG welding equipment. Use grinders, saws, drills, clamps, squares, and other hand and power tools as required. Keep tools, fixtures, welding equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Qualifications and Skills 3+ year minimum welding experience in a similar field. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to perform work there from or from other written or verbal instruction. May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards. Must pass a drug test. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, math, and writing skills. Attention to detail and highly motivated. Ability to communicate and work well with others. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve. Ability to work overtime on occasion. Possess appropriate tools to perform job duties.
Physical Requirements:
May frequently lift or move heavy-weight material and work in difficult positions. Frequent mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull, and work at heights, and in small tight spaces. Requires working under somewhat disagreeable conditions frequently where elements such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water, or chemicals may be present.
