Our Company seeks a motivated & dedicated experienced Welder that thrives in challenging and demanding working environments. We are seeking a Welder in Lake Wales, Florida. Payrate Can Range /Hourly BOE $18-Up. Welder - Position Description Seeking experienced Welders to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment and components. The Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds according to drawings, specifications, and established safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Flux core and stick welding on carbon steel and other metals as required. Weld, fabricate, repair, and rebuild heavy industrial equipment and components. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions. Prepare, fit, align, and secure metal components before welding. Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and conformity to specifications. Perform grinding, cutting, torching air arc gouging, and other metal fabrication activities as needed. Operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely. Assist with equipment rebuilds, structural repairs, and modifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for welding equipment and tools. Follow all company safety policies, MSHA requirements, and applicable welding procedures. Work effectively with welders, mechanics, fabricators, supervisors, engineers, CWI's and other team members. Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards for safety and workmanship.
Qualifications:
Previous professional welding experience, preferably in heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing, or equipment-repair environments. Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding specifications. Experience specific to flux core welding and air arc gouging is preferred. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and cutting equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and lifting/moving materials. Welding certifications are preferred but may not be required depending on experience and assignment.
Work Environment:
The position may involve working in a manufacturing, fabrication, repair, or heavy-equipment environment. Employees may be required to work around heavy machinery, elevated temperatures, noise, dust, and other industrial conditions while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
