Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help ensure the quality and durability of our projects, contributing to the success of diverse construction and manufacturing initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metal materials, utilize advanced welding techniques, and interpret detailed technical drawings in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute projects. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, machining equipment, and hand tools. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication. Use mechanical knowledge to interpret mechanical blueprints and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards for complex assemblies. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during all welding, cutting, machining, and assembly activities. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks to meet project specifications and deadlines. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with metal materials. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge of metal fabrication processes including plasma cutting, machining, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication. Experience working with power tools and hand tools safely in a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding and fabrication activities. $25.84 - $31.11 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
