This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical skills. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, fabricating metal parts, and ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and industry best practices. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to guide precise welding and assembly processes Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble metal materials such as sheet metal, ductwork, and structural components using power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication Maintain safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or in fabrication shops Collaborate with team members to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for complex assemblies Support fabrication shop operations by managing metal materials, performing quality inspections, and adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols Skilled in various welding processes including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding with certification preferred Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical fabrication instructions Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication tasks Experience with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and using power tools Mechanical knowledge of metal materials and fabrication techniques aligned with industry standards Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to metal fabrication projects Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions Embark on a career that combines craftsmanship with innovation!
