Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your expertise in welding and metal fabrication to create high-quality structures and components. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, and adhere strictly to safety protocols. Your hands-on experience on construction sites, proficiency with various welding techniques, and ability to interpret technical drawings will be essential to your success in this role. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and other metal materials using power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure and mark materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely on construction sites or within the shop environment. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials around the work area. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering strictly to safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site-specific requirements. Hands-on fabrication shop experience involving metal fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly. Proficiency with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding in accordance with AWS standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, power tools operation, machining techniques, rigging procedures, and construction practices. Experience working with various metal materials including steel sheets, ductwork components, pipes, or structural steel in a manufacturing or construction environment.
