Job Summary We are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to construct and weld parts for semi chassis and body - Carbon Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum to become an integral part of our team! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products Install and repair various equipment and components Follow blueprints to meet product specifications Calculate material measurements to verify specifications Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
Qualifications:
Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields Familiarity with welding tools and procedures Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics Ability to handle physical workload Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications. Perform welding using a variety of techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components from carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheets, utilizing hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits. Assemble fabricated parts by welding, soldering, or mechanical fastening while adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops to handle large or complex assemblies. Maintain a clean workspace by following safety protocols diligently and inspecting tools and equipment regularly for proper operation.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
