Job Description

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to produce precision sheet metal components for custom projects. In this role, you will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding on various metals, and assist with layout, cutting, forming, and fitting. You'll inspect parts for quality, follow safety and 5S standards, and collaborate with engineering and assembly teams. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various metals per drawings and work instructions Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment Assist with layout, cutting, forming, and fitting of metal components Inspect welds and parts to meet quality and dimensional standards Follow all safety procedures and support a clean, organized work area Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to resolve issues Contribute ideas to process and quality improvements Maintain production output and meet schedule requirements Document work as required for traceability and quality records Required Skills MIG welding Blueprint reading Metal fabrication Weld inspection and quality control Use of fabrication tools (saws, brakes, shears) Fixture and jig setup Grinding and finishing Measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares) Basic mechanical aptitude Safety and 5 S practices
