Job Description

Welder/Fabricator Overview/Job Summary:
Gryphon Environmental, Inc is an established leader in advanced thermal drying technology and we are looking to expand our team. Gryphon Environmental's equipment has been installed throughout the United States and serves a variety of industries including municipalities, waste water treatment, and agriculture. Our flagship location in Owensboro, Kentucky is seeking to add a talented welder/fabricator to our team. The purpose of this role is to assist in the production of dryer systems by welding, fabricating, and assembling the components of the drying systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Work as part of the fabrication team to produce stainless steel industrial components. Operate MIG welding machines and understand gas flow, electrical connections, assembly and disassembly of the welding machine torch, filler wire, and other consumables. Read blue prints and layout drawings to fabricate and assemble components. Operate industrial band saw to cut stainless steel tubing. Safely operate fork trucks to move components in the fabrication area. Rig nylon straps and wire ropes in the shop and in the field to perform safe lifts. Maintain work environment in a safe and orderly fashion utilizing 5S Method of Sustainability. Travel to customers site to assist in the installation and startup of equipment. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
3 Years minimum of manufacturing experience Must be able to read fabrication drawings and build equipment from prints Must be able to produce high quality MIG welds and have high quality fabrication skills Candidates must be dependable, on-time, and have a strong work ethic Must be self motivated and able to accept constructive feedback Ability to work safely alone and/or in groups. Occasional travel to job sites out of state is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in maintaining general industrial and fabrication equipment Basic electrical knowledge and experience with controls and instrumentation
