The client company is a fast-paced, precision machine shop operating in a dynamic job shop environment. Their team handles diverse, custom, and short-run projects that require high craftsmanship, problem-solving, and strict attention to detail.

Position Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator will set up, weld, and fabricate custom metal components from blueprints and engineering drawings. This role focuses heavily on TIG welding aluminum, along with working with stainless steel and carbon steel for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality TIG welding primarily on aluminum components across various thicknesses and configurations. Fabricate assemblies from detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and verbal instructions in a custom job shop environment. Operate standard fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, brakes, grinders, and drill presses. Fit and tack-assemble parts to precise tolerances prior to final welding. Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality and structural standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace adhering to shop safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience, specifically within a job shop or custom manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in TIG welding aluminum (weld tests will be administered on-site during the interview). Strong ability to read and interpret blue prints, welding symbols, and mechanical drawings. Proficient with shop measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
