Job Description
Welder I Job Summary:
The Welder I position is responsible for production welding fabricated metal products.Duties:
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
- MIG weld steel as directed
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company rules and policies
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Provide manufacturing support as required
Abilities and Skills:
- Must be able to MIG weld to AWS standards
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk and stand for extended periods of time stand constantly
- Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing welded steel products
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently Education/Experience
- Certified Welder- MIG
- 2 years of welding experience
