Intelligen-Ashlor Staffing is seeking 1st Shift Mig Welders for our client who works on-site at a railyard in Waterford, MI. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years in Mig welding experience and proficiency. Previous experience in carbon arcing, wire feed welding, flux core, and plasma cutting is preferred but not required. Must be able to work overtime when needed! Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday's.
First Shift Hours:
6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (10 hour shifts) - (2) 15 minute breaks and (1) 30 minute lunch paid for by the host-employer (12 hour shifts when needed are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) $19-$24/hr based on weld test results and previous experience Compensation/Benefits of the
Welders:
Salary:
$19.00 to $24.00 /hour to start (This rate is subject to the client's discretion based on weld test results, previous experience, and discussed pay range beforehand) Time and a half over 40 hours (minimum work hours each week is 40-50 but on average, expect to work a minimum of 50 hours per week and 60-65 potentially in the upcoming months) $1/hr guaranteed raise at 90 days Performance raises are given by the client based on attendance, attitude, work performance, and promotions Holiday pay given by the client after 90 days 50 hours of vacation pay given by the client starting at 1 year anniversary date and continues to reset each year after on anniversary date Responsibilities of the
Mig Welders:
Repair and rebuild railcar via welding and grinding Torch cutting and plasma cutting Must be able to repeatedly swing a variety of sledgehammers from 4-20 pounds during shift Work in confined spaces that may require crawling, bending, twisting, and kneeling & overheard work Maintain production levels as set while performing quality welds for client specification Follow all safety requirements Requirements of the
Mig Welders:
Welding experience and proficiency required Proficient in carbon arcing, wire feed welding, flux core, and plasma cutting (preferred previous experience) Required to complete and pass

welding qualification test Ability to read and interpret drawings Must be able to climb on and off rail cars Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, remain on feet standing, reaching, 2 hand lifting, bending, kneeling, etc for shifts Your own reliable transportation Pass pre-employment testing (audio-gram, physical, drug test, background check) Scheduling weld tests asap!
