Welder/Fabricator The Recruiting Specialist Thomasville, NC Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Welder experience Fabrication Teamwork Mechanical fabrication TIG welding High school diploma or GED Welding Certification Manufacturing Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding, can operate fabrication equipment safely, and is committed to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using fabrication equipment. Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as required. Inspect welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Operate hand tools, grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of welding and fabrication equipment. Repair or modify metal structures and components as needed. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus.
