  • Job Description
  • We are seeking skilled welders with MIG and Flux Core experience to fabricate and assemble overhead bridge cranes according to job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints.

This position offers competitive hourly rates with additional shift differentials for weekend shifts. Candidates will work primarily on the 1st shift from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays, typically for a half-day.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Fabricate and assemble overhead bridge cranes according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints.

+ Develop layout and plan sequence of operations by applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances, and physical properties of metal.

+ Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as welders, punches, flame cutters, and drill presses.

+ Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand and power tools, hydraulic presses, and drill presses.

+ Design and construct templates and fixtures as required.

+ Verify conformance of workpieces and ensure machines are installed and tested correctly.

+ Complete required paperwork accurately.

+ Work in confined spaces and maintain precise fitting of bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and couplings.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding, including stainless steel.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and assembly.

+ Certified welder with experience in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and manual lifts. + Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and crawling.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $24.

00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
