About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be instrumental in the assembly and integration of heavy-duty truck equipment. By utilizing your expertise in MIG welding and structural fabrication, you will ensure that every project meets rigorous industry standards while contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our production output. Responsibilities Execute high-precision MIG welding on complex sub-assemblies and vehicle-mounted systems to meet strict structural integrity standards. Translate technical blueprints and engineering specifications into high-quality finished installations. Utilize advanced fabrication tools, including oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment, to prepare and refine components. Validate the quality of all welds and assemblies through systematic inspections to ensure safety and performance compliance. Document production progress accurately and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing workflows. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace that adheres to established operational protocols. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a technical or mechanical fabrication environment. Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding techniques and the operation of standard shop fabrication tools. Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and standardized work instructions. Strong mathematical aptitude, specifically in applying geometry and precise measurements to real-world assembly tasks. Preferred Skills Prior experience working with heavy truck equipment or automotive hydraulic systems. Familiarity with AWS welding standards or similar industry-recognized certification programs. Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on troubleshooting mechanical assembly challenges.
