What You Will Do
Perform program set up and operate multiple automated mechanized welding operations, i.e., TIG arc welder, Dig pulse MIG welder, Magnetic oscillator, and Seam Tracker systems to produce uniform machine welds necessary for can fabrication. Write programs and input parameters, and do all necessary adjustments on parts where condition of the part is such that complex problems must be solved to complete the part. Perform a variety of hand and machine fusion welding operations to construct powder containers. Interface with Engineering or design personnel to facilitate fabrication. Work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches issued by the engineering dept. Ability to train others to perform routine welding tasks Comply with all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook. Support the cell's continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills. The position will work a schedule of Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7:00pm - 7:00am (5th shift).
Qualifications You Must Have
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Requires a knowledge of welding qualities of metals. Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions. Requires an Instructor level knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology. Learn More &
