Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks across various projects, ensuring all work aligns with safety standards, technical specifications, and industry codes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex pipe installations, structural fabrication, and maintenance operations using a variety of welding techniques. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding processes on diverse materials including pipes, structural steel, and sprinkler systems. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures. Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Execute pipe threading, pipefitting, tube bending, and pipe installation tasks in accordance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Use calipers, schematics, and other measuring tools to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of components. Maintain safety regulations by following strict safety protocol adherence during all welding activities; operate rigging equipment safely during assembly or installation processes. Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and perform quality inspections on completed welds to ensure compliance with industry standards such as AWS (American Welding Society) certifications. MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding techniques along with experience in pipe welding and fire sprinkler fitting. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, construction plans, and blueprints accurately. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, pipefitting, assembly, tube bending, and pipeline construction. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics, and other measurement devices for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards as well as NFPA standards related to fire sprinkler systems and safety regulations. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on pipe installation, maintenance, rigging, and construction experience overall. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication work. Familiarity with safety regulations including power tool safety practices; ability to follow safety protocols diligently during all operations.
