Back Stud Shooter Skilled Trades & Industrial West Point , Mississippi Contract to Hire Oct 1, 2026 Stud Shooter Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Clay County MS area is seeking Stud Shooter to join their team! Stud Shooter Job Summary:
    Pay:
    $15 per hour
      Shifts Available:
      1st shift 6:00am to 4:30pm M-Th and 6:00am to 3:30pm on Friday Operate stud welding equipment to weld metal studs, pins, and fasteners to steel and other metal components. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and production specifications. Verify proper stud placement, spacing, and alignment according to customer requirements. Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with company standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on stud welding equipment. Measure and mark layouts using measuring tools and templates. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures. Utilize grinders and hand tools to prepare surfaces for welding operations. Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and production personnel to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Document completed work and report quality issues to supervisors. Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience operating stud welding equipment or working in a welding, fabrication, or structural steel environment preferred. Ability to read tape measures and blueprints accurately. Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication processes is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and measuring devices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
