•We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Welder to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a particular focus on steel and metal alloys. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative company that values technical skill, creativity, and teamwork. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts. 2. Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines. 3. Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job. 4. Maintain and repair all machinery associated with welding work. 5. Understand the properties of different metals and how to handle and combine them. 6. Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. 7. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 8. Ensure all work meets quality standards and conform to specifications. 9. Assist in the training and development of junior staff members. 10. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to standard.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a welder with a minimum of 5 years in the field. 2. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) 3. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) 4. Deftness and attention to detail. 5. Proficient in English. 6. Professional Certification in welding from a recognized institution. 7. Experience with steel and metal alloys. 8. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. 9. Knowledge of different welding techniques (TIG, MIG, MMA etc.) 10. Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
