Position Summary We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder with experience in galvanneal sheet metal MIG welding and aluminum TIG welding . The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints, maintaining weld quality standards, and working efficiently in a production or custom fabrication environment. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on galvanneal sheet metal (thin gauge preferred experience) Perform TIG welding on aluminum components Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG & TIG) Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and appearance standards Inspect completed work for accuracy and structural integrity Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Assist with fabrication, fitting, and assembly as needed Required Qualifications 2+ years of MIG welding experience (galvanneal or sheet metal preferred) Experience TIG welding aluminum Ability to weld thin gauge materials without burn-through or warping Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred Qualifications Fabrication and layout experience Experience in a production manufacturing environment Knowledge of welding symbols and GD&T Certification in MIG and/or TIG welding (AWS preferred) Working Conditions Shop/manufacturing environment Exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise Standing for extended periods Use of welding helmets, gloves, and other PPE required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays In addition to wages and benefits, there is also the opportunity to earn gainsharing/production bonus monthly once you are in the union Why Join Us?
