Coil Fitter/Welder - Day Shift
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Coil Fitter/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong fitting and welding experience, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and possess a solid understanding of fabrication and assembly processes. This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clamp, hold, tack weld, grind, and bolt components into position for welding. Examine work pieces for defects and verify conformance to specifications using straightedges, templates, and measuring devices. Measure completed products and work pieces to ensure dimensional accuracy. Develop templates and models using mathematical calculations and blueprint information. Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, fitting, assembly, and welding operations. Lay out and fit nozzles, supports, and couplings into coils according to blueprints. Remove rough spots and imperfections using grinders, hand files, and other finishing tools. Maintain accurate production records and required documentation. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Report defective tools, equipment, or unsafe conditions. ASME Code Section VIII Welding Test :
2" Schedule 160 Carbon Pipe, 6G Pipe Test, GTAW (TIG) root and fill, FCAW (Flux Core) finish 4 to 5 years of relevant welding and fitting experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong mathematical and layout skills. Ability to accurately use measuring tools including levels, tape measures, protractors, and related equipment. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Preferred Two-year technical degree or vocational welding certificate. Work Environment Manufacturing and fabrication setting. Non-temperature-controlled environment. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and physical activity. Exposure to welding fumes, heat, and industrial equipment while following established safety protocols. Requirements Must be able to pass a background check. Must pass a full-panel drug screen. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
