Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, supporting various construction and fabrication projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse materials, utilize advanced welding techniques, and develop your mechanical and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and shop math to measure, mark, cut, and fit metal materials precisely. Operate plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, and other fabrication equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal components. Fabricate metal structures by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling sheet metal and other materials on the shop floor or construction site. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment, and materials in both shop environments and construction sites. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and ensure quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process. Skills Extensive experience with construction sites or industrial fabrication environments. Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication. Knowledge of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and shop math for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and understanding of metal materials like sheet metal and structural steel. Familiarity with power tools such as grinders, drills, plasma cutters, pipe threading machines, and hand tools for fabrication tasks. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for complex projects involving pipe threading or sheet metal fabrication. Experience working with safety protocols in manufacturing or construction environments to ensure a safe workspace. Strong mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with shop math proficiency for accurate fabrication work. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
