Endorsement Mechanical blueprint interpretation Blueprint specification interpretation Shop math High school diploma or GED Construction plans Blueprint dimension interpretation Gas metal arc welding Flux-cored welding Full Job Description MSS Steel Tubes USA, a Vigent Group company that produces and sells steel pipes and tubes on the domestic and international markets, is growing strongly and is looking to recruit a Structural Fitter to work at our facilities in Memphis.

Tasks:

Fit up and tack weld tubes, flanges, base plates and attachments to drawing Set and check gaps, alignment, squareness and overall geometry Build and use fixtures, jigs and templates Rig and position large sections with overhead cranes Prep joints, correct distortion and present work at quality hold points

Profile:

2+ years of structural fit-up or assembly in heavy fabrication Strong blueprint reading (weld symbols included), competent tack welding (FCAW/GMAW) and solid shop math High school diploma or GED Nice to have:
