Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts that meet safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metal materials, utilize advanced welding techniques, and contribute to innovative fabrication projects. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce components. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and other hand tools to ensure precise cuts and welds. Fabricate sheet metal, pipe assemblies, and structural components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and other fabrication tools. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions, materials needed, and assembly procedures. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to OSHA guidelines, wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and following site-specific safety procedures at all times. Operate cranes, measuring instruments, and other equipment safely while managing multiple tasks on construction sites or fabrication shops. Requirements Proven construction site experience or metal fabrication shop experience demonstrating proficiency in welding and assembly tasks. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and plasma cutting. Ability to read mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret engineering specifications accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly processes. Experience working with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
