Job Description

Welder/Fabricator/Fitter (1st Shift) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our team on the first shift. This role involves performing MIG welding and metal fabrication to produce high-quality components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will interpret technical drawings, utilize measuring instruments accurately, and apply mechanical knowledge to ensure precise fitting and assembly of parts. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication to contribute to our manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding to join metal components according to specifications and safety standards Fabricate metal parts and structures based on technical drawings and blueprints Measure and mark materials accurately using various measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine dimensions, tolerances, and assembly procedures Fit, assemble, and modify fabricated components as needed, ensuring proper mechanical fit and function Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Skills Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding safety practices Experience in metal fabrication including cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop math accurately Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Mechanical knowledge related to fitting, aligning, and assembling components Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise work execution Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills for accurate fabrication and assembly This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to contribute their skills in a manufacturing setting. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 56.0 per week
