The position of Community Impact Coordinator for United Way of Fort Smith Area, Inc. is to coordinate, plan and implement community initiatives for the organization. This includes working with committees, volunteers, community leaders and various organizations throughout the six-county area, while being mission focused, relationship oriented, community collaborators, results driven and stewards of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, strategize, develop and execute community initiatives and events.
• Community Impact initiatives and events include, but are not limited to: o Dolly Parton's Imagination Library o Books and Badges o Power of the Purse o Day of Caring o Fill the Bus o Touch a Truck o Community Resource Guide o Findhelp.org o Holiday Giving Guide
• Engage with corporate and community volunteers.
• Convene and facilitate meetings with respect to the organization's initiatives.
• Work with the Resource Development Director to identify and further develop engagement with current and prospective donors.
• Coordinate, implement and manage Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (includes inputting registrations and monitoring data).
• Represent United Way in various community meetings and functions.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for incoming telephone calls, providing professional and courteous assistance as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven track record of success with program development including outcome measurement in carrying out events and/or initiatives. Working knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word, while having the ability to learn various Windows-based software programs. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as being an effective public speaker. Successful candidates will have strong presentation skills, multi-task oriented and have the ability to clearly articulate the organization's mission and vision. This position reports to the President and CEO of United Way of Fort Smith Area, Inc.
