Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Communications and Community Affairs, this position assists in the City's communications and public information efforts . Produce marketing collateral, including brochures , flyers, and press releases. Acts as social media lead for the City's platforms . Assists in the implementation of a variety of marking and public information tactics for CCG departments. Monitors local media reports and distributes newsletters. Answers telephones and interacts with visitors; responds to requests and provides accurate information. Monitors and updates the Communications and Community Affairs website with upcoming events, press releases, and material pertaining to CCG . Assist in the implementation of a variety of marketing and public information tactics in support of City programs and initiatives. Monitors the CCG website for accurate and up-to-date information . Monitors the upkeep of CCG social media accounts . Captures videos and photos for use on social media; creates content to support capturing video and photos . Performs other related job duties as assigned. Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing and media relations. Establishes and maintains alphabetic and numeric filing system; manages a database. Formats and type letters, memos, forms, reports, correspondence, charts, and other documents; enters and retrieves computerized data; prepares narrative and statistical reports. Skill in graphic design . Skill in problem-solving and decision making. Skill in management and supervision. Skill in operating standard office equipment including computers and related software programs. Skill in oral and written communication. Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table. The employee must occasionally lift light objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required : Balancing

ability to make rational decisions through sound logic, deductive reasoning. Pulling
