Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive volunteer engagement programs that attract, retain, and motivate volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Coordinate volunteer recruitment efforts through outreach, social media campaigns, and community events. Manage volunteer databases using tools like VSP to track engagement metrics and maintain accurate records. Provide training and development sessions for volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared, informed, and motivated. Supervise volunteer teams during events and ongoing projects, offering guidance and support to maximize their impact. Build strong relationships with community partners, culturally diverse groups, and stakeholders to expand outreach initiatives. Oversee social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities, share success stories, and foster community engagement. Lead public speaking engagements to promote volunteer programs and represent the organization at community events. Requirements Proven experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement roles with a strong background in volunteer management. Excellent written communication skills for creating engaging content, reports, and outreach materials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with database management experience using Salesforce or Raiser's Edge. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and foster inclusive environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in social media management and digital communication strategies. Leadership skills with prior supervisory or team management experience; ability to motivate and guide volunteers effectively. Exceptional public speaking abilities coupled with customer service orientation to engage stakeholders confidently. Knowledge or experience working within nonprofit or community service sectors is a plus.
