Job Summary Safe+Sound Somerset, the domestic violence and sexual assault organization serving Somerset County New Jersey, is seeking a passionate and self-motivated Manager, Prevention & Community Engagement to lead community-based violence prevention initiatives throughout Somerset County. This role manages community engagement, violence prevention education, and collaborative prevention initiatives throughout Somerset County to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors associated with sexual and domestic violence. Leads the development and implementation of community-level prevention strategies that promote community connection, collaboration, civic engagement, and collective action. Oversees the Sexual Violence Primary Prevention grant program including the Community Action Team (CAT), and facilitates community partnerships that advance primary prevention goals through education, coalition-building, community mobilization, volunteer engagement, and systems-level collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading violence prevention education and community engagement initiatives; facilitating community partnerships, coalitions, and prevention forums; developing and implementing annual community action plans; coordinating educational activities, and awareness campaigns and events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field preferred, with demonstrated experience developing, managing, or growing programs or community-based efforts. Associate's Degree with significant additional experience in program management may be considered. Experience facilitating community engagement, coalition development, community-based prevention, or volunteer mobilization initiatives required. Strong preference for candidates who have independently built or significantly expanded a program or initiative, not solely implemented pre-existing programs. Proven ability to translate broad goals into actionable plans, with follow through to implementation and evaluation. Experience building and maintaining community relationships over time with consistent engagement and follow-up. Demonstrated ability to work independently in evolving environments, creating structure, plans, and priorities. Pay:

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
