Job Description
As the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and Marketing you will: Write and edit news releases and feature stories Assist with the daily maintenance of the College's athletics website Serve as liaison between the department and the media as the primary contact for several of Allegheny's athletics programs Write, design and edit publications including media guides and game programs Manage the athletic communications student staff Direct the program for nomination and publicity of student-athletes for various honors, awards and special recognition Assist with social media content creation Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred Minimum of 1-3 years required preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite of Products, and graphic design/video editing software Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Evening, holiday and weekend hours along with flexible work scheduling are required. Experience in the collegiate sports information field. Must be able to meet multiple deadlines with high-quality results. Candidate should understand the Division III philosophy and thrive in an extremely motivated, team-oriented atmosphere Experience in photography, videography, and graphic design preferred Your compensation Starting salary will be competitive, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
