[HR to determine] Position Summary The Member & Community Relationship Manager is responsible for activating and deepening relationships Veritas Federal Credit Union already has while creating new opportunities for member engagement, retention, financial education, and sustainable membership growth. Unlike a traditional business development position focused primarily on acquiring new employer groups, this role concentrates on making existing relationships more productive and meaningful. A primary responsibility is developing Veritas' relationship with StoneCrest Hospital , including building a strong working relationship with Human Resources, creating consistent onsite visibility, increasing employee awareness and engagement, and working toward having Veritas recognized and communicated as an employee benefit. The position also spends designated time inside the Smyrna branch engaging members, discovering unmet needs, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, and helping connect members with the right Veritas resources. The role will also help develop relationships with schools and youth-serving organizations to expand Veritas' financial education efforts and begin building relationships with the next generation of members. This position requires energy, curiosity, creativity, and follow-through. Success means taking relationships that have potential and making something happen with them. Essential Duties & Responsibilities StoneCrest Hospital Relationship Management Serve as the primary relationship manager and recognizable Veritas contact for StoneCrest Hospital. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Human Resources, leadership, employee-benefit contacts, and other key stakeholders. Establish a consistent Veritas presence onsite at StoneCrest several times each month. Develop varied approaches to employee engagement rather than relying exclusively on traditional information tables. Coordinate employee financial education, lunch & learns, benefit events, new-hire opportunities, shift-specific outreach, and other onsite activities. Work with StoneCrest to identify opportunities for Veritas to be included in employee-benefit communications, onboarding resources, internal communications, and other appropriate channels. Develop strategies to reach employees working different schedules and shifts. Track StoneCrest engagement from access and awareness through membership and deeper financial relationships. Regularly evaluate results and test new approaches when existing activities are not producing sufficient employee engagement. Develop StoneCrest into a sustainable, mutually beneficial relationship rather than simply maintaining its status as an SEG. In-Branch Member Relationship Development Spend designated time in the Smyrna branch intentionally engaging members and visitors. Serve as an energetic, welcoming presence who helps create a memorable Veritas experience. Initiate natural conversations designed to learn more about members and identify needs Veritas may be able to address. Look beyond the immediate transaction to identify opportunities for deeper relationships. Recognize potential membership, deposit, lending, youth-account, business, financial-education, and other relationship opportunities. Make warm introductions to appropriate Veritas team members rather than attempting to personally fulfill every identified need. Identify members who may be frustrated, disengaged, or at risk of leaving Veritas and work with appropriate team members to resolve concerns when possible. Follow up on identified opportunities to help ensure members receive the assistance promised. Support retention by helping members feel known, welcomed, and connected to the credit union. School, Youth & Financial Education Development Develop relationships with schools, educators, counselors, career and technical education programs, youth organizations, and other appropriate community partners. Identify opportunities for Veritas to provide practical financial education to children, teens, and young adults. Help develop and deliver engaging financial education around real-life topics such as earning a first paycheck, opening a first account, budgeting, understanding credit, avoiding financial scams, preparing to buy a first vehicle, and other age-appropriate topics. Evaluate which programs and partnerships create meaningful engagement and opportunities for longer-term relationships with students and families. Help establish Veritas as an approachable financial-education resource for young people in the community. Events & Community Engagement Represent Veritas at community events, sponsorships, employee events, benefits fairs, financial education sessions, and other outreach activities. Participate in and help coordinate tables, sponsorship activations, lunch & learns, presentations, and community events. Establish objectives and follow-up plans for outreach activities. Be available for occasional evening and weekend activities as events require. Identify additional employer or community relationships when opportunities naturally arise, while maintaining primary focus on developing existing strategic relationships. Opportunity Development & Member Retention Use conversations and relationships to identify opportunities where Veritas may be able to help members or prospective members. Facilitate warm internal referrals and introductions. Follow opportunities from initial discovery through handoff and appropriate follow-up. Help identify and address potential member-retention concerns. Collaborate closely with branch employees and other internal teams so relationship-development efforts complement—not compete with—the member-service process. Tracking, Innovation & Accountability Maintain accurate records of outreach, member-engagement activity, referrals, relationship opportunities, and outcomes. Track activity through appropriate funnels, including access → awareness → engagement → membership → relationship for StoneCrest. Monitor in-branch opportunities through conversation → discovery → referral → solution → follow-up. Provide regular reporting on relationship activity, opportunities, results, and upcoming initiatives. Experiment with new approaches, measure results, and change strategies when an activity is not producing meaningful engagement. Share observations and member/community feedback that may help Veritas improve its products, processes, communications, or member experience. Measures of Success Performance will be evaluated using a combination of quantitative and qualitative measures, including: Growth and measurable activation of the StoneCrest Hospital relationship. Member-retention opportunities identified and positively influenced. Development and effectiveness of school/youth financial-education relationships. Results of events, sponsorships, lunch & learns, and community activities. Quality and timeliness of follow-up. Creativity, experimentation, and willingness to adjust unsuccessful approaches. Have an exceptional ability to turn an initial conversation into an ongoing relationship. Be comfortable initiating conversations with members, employees, HR professionals, educators, community leaders, and other audiences. Have strong relationship-management and follow-up skills. Be creative and persistent when traditional outreach approaches are not working. Possess strong presentation and group-facilitation skills. Be comfortable delivering financial education without providing individualized financial advice. Be able to identify needs and opportunities without creating a high-pressure sales experience. Understand the difference between discovering an opportunity and personally fulfilling it. Collaborate effectively with branch staff and other Veritas departments. Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills. Be comfortable using technology to document activity, referrals, opportunities, and outcomes. Demonstrate good judgment and professionalism when representing Veritas onsite with employer and community partners. Qualifications years of experience in relationship management, member/customer engagement, community relations, financial services, hospitality, business development, or a related field preferred.
