Work Location:
Ellensburg, Moses Lake, Wenatchee, WA Responsibilities Client Engagement Conduct street outreach and community visits to locate and engage unsheltered individuals and families who are not yet connected to services. Provide warm handoffs to internal Navigators or external service providers to ensure no drop-off in support. Maintain a regular, visible presence in identified locations where unsheltered individuals and families reside. Participate in cold weather or extreme heat response protocols in coordination with emergency management. Share observations of emerging trends (new encampments, safety issues, community shifts) with leadership and partner agencies. Be available for flexible scheduling (early mornings, evenings, weekends) as needs often arise outside of business hours. Be available for calls at any time from law enforcement to go immediately to the site and meet them when they are dealing with a homeless situation. Administrative Update the Master List form after each field visit with changes, information, and detailed file notes for future reference Prepare and share the Projected Outreach planning form every Monday Submit the HopeSource Contact Form at the end of each field outreach day and share with WPC. Attend Drug and Behavioral Health Court at least once a month, communicating and summarizing the meeting with WPC staff when participants are HopeSource clients. Attend the A-Team and actively participate as a member representing HopeSource, sharing information that is relevant to HopeSource within a week of the meeting. Ability to work with low-income populations with respect and compassion. Effective communication skills and a professional attitude. Ability to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds. Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage multiple priorities on deadline.
