POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Content & Communications Specialist develops and delivers clear, engaging content that supports Slingco's marketing, sales, product, and business objectives. This is a hands-on role for a strong writer and storyteller who can translate technical products, applications, and business initiatives into content that is relevant and easy to understand for customers, distributors, sales teams, and employees. The role works closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and other subject-matter experts to develop content across social media, email, website, case studies, sales collateral, presentations, and other marketing channels. The Specialist executes content plans established by the Director of Marketing, manages assigned projects from intake through delivery, and uses performance data and audience feedback to improve content and communications.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Development & Storytelling Develop and edit customer-focused content across social media, email, website, case studies, sales collateral, presentations, digital advertising, and other marketing channels Translate technical products, applications, and business initiatives into clear, compelling messaging for different audiences Research content thoroughly and collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and credibility Repurpose content across channels and use AI tools to support research, development, editing, and optimization Social Media & Email Marketing Manage day-to-day execution of Slingco's social media and email content calendars Develop channel-specific content aligned with approved marketing priorities, campaigns, products, and audiences Monitor engagement and campaign performance and recommend content improvements Website, SEO & Digital Content Develop and maintain website content in partnership with key stakeholders Apply basic SEO and emerging AI-search optimization principles to content Support content updates, optimization, and quality assurance for Slingco's digital channels Sales Enablement & Customer Stories Develop and maintain case studies, sales presentations, collateral, product/application materials, and other sales enablement content Support RFP responses by adapting approved content and coordinating information from subject-matter experts Identify customer stories and content opportunities that can support sales and marketing objectives Content Planning & Project Management Maintain Slingco's editorial and content calendar and manage assigned projects from intake through delivery Coordinate stakeholders, reviews, approvals, and deadlines to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time Support internal and executive communications, including company announcements, newsletters, and leadership messaging Monitor content performance and use data and feedback to improve future communications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in content marketing, marketing communications, social media, journalism, public relations, or a related field Demonstrated experience developing and editing content across multiple marketing channels Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating the ability to adapt content for different audiences and formats Experience developing content such as case studies, social media, email campaigns, website content, presentations, or sales collateral Experience working with subject-matter experts to research and translate technical or complex information into clear, customer-focused content Experience managing content calendars, coordinating projects, and working with multiple stakeholders and deadlines Basic understanding of SEO and digital content optimization; familiarity with AI search/AEO is a plus Experience using AI tools to support research, content development, editing, and repurposing Familiarity with social media, email marketing, website content management, and basic content performance metrics Experience in a B2B, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, energy, technology, or other technical environment preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field
