SCOPE OF WORK
The Community Impact Specialist (Marketing and Communications) supports New Hope's mission by executing marketing, communication, and development initiatives that enhance community engagement, donor relationships, and public awareness of New Hope's programs and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Communications Collaborate with departments to solicit, compile, create, and post engaging social media content, and related graphics and video as needed, fostering increased audience engagement. Assist in creating and distributing internal and external communications content and strategy, such as e-newsletters, brochures, website, and the annual impact report. Manage the day-to-day implementation of New Hope's annual communications plan and content calendar, in partnership with the Senior Director, Community Impact and CEO. Ensure consistency in branding and style across website, print, and electronic communications. Serve as a resource to staff on organizational branding, templates, messaging, and appropriate use of New Hope materials. Track and analyze marketing, outreach, and traditional and social media metrics and trends, including engagement, reach, impressions, and growth. Development & Grant Support Provide administrative and content support for grant writing initiatives and funding applications. Collaborate with other programs to translate program outcomes and success stories into compelling content for donor communications, funder reports, and the annual impact report in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered and confidentiality-conscious way. Donor Relations & Fundraising Conduct donor and prospect research and support cultivation, stewardship, and engagement strategies led by the Senior Director of Community Impact and CEO. Coordinate and support fundraising events, working with the Senior Director, Community Impact and DEI, CEO, and others. Maintain the donor database, ensuring accuracy and generating reports as needed. Respond to donors, including in-kind inquiries via email, phone, and written correspondence, and meet in-person to accept donations. Community Engagement & Outreach Represent New Hope at community events and networking opportunities to raise awareness about the organization's mission, engage new audiences, and foster relationships with potential and current donors and partners. Assist with the planning and execution of community events, including fundraisers and staff meetings. Coordinate with other departments to ensure that in-kind donation needs are publicized and collected. Assist with holiday collection and distribution efforts.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend all-agency meetings and other meetings and events as requested. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Community Impact and DEI. Stay on top of relevant news and issues pertaining to our work.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with awareness of diverse audiences; detail-oriented; demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management abilities. Openness to feedback. Self-motivated, dependable and self-reliant with strong written communication abilities, including grammar and proofreading. Flexibility with time and scheduling to include occasional nights and weekends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and other design applications, and social media platforms; experience with WordPress and donor management systems (e.g., Blackbaud) preferred. Solid graphic design skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1-2
years' experience in communications, development, or other related roles, in a non-profit setting, preferred. Experience managing social media accounts and developing content, preferred. Experience in fundraising, donor relations and event planning, in a non-profit setting, preferred. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, non-profit management or related field preferred.

SCHEDULE
Hybrid work structure, with 3 days required in-office Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings as required. Flexibility may be accommodated with prior coordination.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Valid driver's license, dependable transportation and willingness to travel within the state.
