Senior Communications Coordinator - Maple Grove, MN or Woodbury, MN The Senior Communications Coordinator leads creative and strategic communications initiatives while managing small to moderate projects from concept through delivery. This role blends project management, content creation, analytics, and emerging community/economic development skills. The individual also supports onboarding and mentoring new team members, helping strengthen team capability and cohesion. Key Responsibilities Manages communications and creative projects, ensuring alignment with goals, timelines, and deliverables. Produces high‑quality visual and written content using Adobe Creative Cloud; contributes to brand‑aligned storytelling across platforms. Communicates assignments, schedules, and expectations clearly to internal and external teams. Seeks assistance on unusual problems and participates in work review to ensure quality and consistency. Measures campaign performance, evaluates analytics, and uses insights to drive results. Leads small to moderate tasks and assignments; assists in mentoring new team members. Begins developing knowledge and skills in community and economic development to support broader organizational initiatives. Manages workload to meet commitments, fosters a positive team environment, and demonstrates strong self‑awareness.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field. Exceptional Adobe Creative Cloud and graphic design skills. Exceptional ability to communicate assignments and schedules to internal and external teams. Demonstrated ability to measure campaigns, evaluate analytics, and drive results. Achievement‑oriented, self‑aware, and committed to creating a positive environment for coworkers. Ability to manage workload to ensure commitments are delivered on time. Preferred Qualifications Experience mentoring or onboarding new team members. Familiarity with community and economic development concepts. Ability to anticipate project needs and proactively address challenges. Physical Qualifications Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement. Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard. May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds. May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload. May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
