Fredericksburg United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking a creative and passionate Communications, Media and AV Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for working with the senior pastor and staff to create and publish information and graphics to communicate the ministries and mission of the church. This role requires graphic design skills, ability to work with a team, time management, creativity, ability to research and learn new technology and a heart for the church. The position is approximately 18-20 hours per week with week days and times to be negotiated plus Sunday mornings 8am-1pm

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design Design and input general information for weekly announcements Work with Pastor or team to design and publish any advertising and marketing needs of the church Social Media Design, update, and maintain our Facebook Page Design, update, and maintain our Instagram Page Weekly Posts to both social media pages Collaborate with pastors for inspirational material (Graphics, Bible verses, quotes, etc...) News relaying information (New sermon series, upcoming events, etc...) Internal Church Information Design, update, and send out Monthly Newsletter to subscribers Design, update, and send out Weekly Snapshot to subscribers Coordinate with pastor(s) to create and send any special emails to congregation as needed. Stream/Online Worship Learn, maintain and teach our Streaming Software to volunteers In collaboration with our AV tech, optimize and improve our Streaming capabilities Sunday Services Be able to proficiently run Sunday Service solo if necessary (in the event other staff are unavailable) Work in partnership with Music Director and sound tech to effectively run audio and lighting Expectation is to be at both services and any special services as needed Recruit and train volunteers Coordinate with and assist staff and volunteers any website updates as needed (once all new designs and materials are created) Maintain all AV licenses and software Any duty assigned by the Senior Pastor •Please note: we are also seeking a part-time worship leader that could be added to this position creating a full-time job.
