full-time Part-Time Remote Social Media Content Creator About Barely Theory Barely Theory is a skincare-focused startup dedicated to making skincare and acne education easier to understand, approachable, and relatable. Through our website, app, and social media platforms, we aim to help our community learn about skincare products, ingredients, routines, and acne-related topics while feeling confident in their own skin. Because we are a startup, this role involves more than creating content. You will help us build the Barely Theory brand, grow our online community, and bring more traffic and engagement to our website and app. About the Role We are looking for a creative, dependable, and trend-aware Social Media Content Creator to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate understands what is popular across social media, enjoys skincare and beauty content, and can create engaging posts that connect with our audience. You do not need to be a skincare expert, and no college degree is required . We care more about your creativity, reliability, social media knowledge, and willingness to learn. This is primarily a remote position, but applicants must live in or near the Downtown Tampa area and be available for occasional in-person meetings, content creation, events, or other brand-related activities. Responsibilities Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories, and short-form videos Stay updated on TikTok, Instagram, skincare, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle trends Turn current trends into original content that fits the Barely Theory brand Write clear, creative captions that match our brand's voice Research skincare products, ingredients, routines, and acne-related topics Help plan and manage a monthly content calendar Schedule and publish content across social media platforms Respond to comments and messages professionally Track engagement and suggest ways to improve content performance Help increase awareness of Barely Theory and bring traffic to our website and app Collaborate with the team on campaigns, launches, promotions, and brand-building projects Participate in occasional local content shoots, meetings, and events in the Tampa area Qualifications Must live in or near the Downtown Tampa area No college degree required Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms Creative, trend-aware, and able to recognize content opportunities Interested in skincare, beauty, wellness, or acne education Willing to learn about skincare products and ingredients Strong writing and communication skills Comfortable using Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines independently Comfortable working in a startup environment and helping build a growing brand Previous content creation or social media experience is preferred but not required

Schedule and Compensation Part-time:

approximately 5-15 hours per week Flexible schedule Starting pay: $15 per hour Pay increases after the first 30, 60, and 90 days Primarily remote, with occasional in-person responsibilities in the Downtown Tampa area If you are creative, excited about skincare, and interested in helping build a startup brand from the beginning, we would love to hear from you!
