Baltimore, MD — On-site for scheduled content days and events
Compensation:
Based on experience and agreed-upon project scope A Different Kind of Hospitality. OPP is a new art-driven dining destination in Baltimore, where oysters, pizza, and pasta meet art, conversation, and unforgettable nights. Part restaurant, part gallery, and entirely its own thing, OPP was created for people who appreciate good food, thoughtful hospitality, and spaces with a little personality. We're looking for a freelance content creator to help build OPP's digital presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and other relevant social platforms. OPP has an established identity and creative direction. We're looking for someone who can understand that vision, bring their own perspective, and help translate it into a thoughtful digital content plan. From the food and drinks to the art on our walls and the people who fill the room, there are stories worth telling. You'll work directly with ownership to identify those stories, pitch creative ideas, and produce content that makes people want to discover OPP for themselves. This is an opportunity for a creative who wants to play an integral role in building the digital presence of a new hospitality brand.
Responsibilities:
Creative Planning & Collaboration Meet with OPP's ownership team to understand the restaurant's concept, brand identity, audience, and business goals. Develop and present a proposed digital content plan based on OPP's established brand direction. Pitch creative concepts, content series, and platform-specific approaches that help introduce OPP and build an engaged audience. Identify opportunities to tell OPP's story through its food, beverages, art collection, private events, people, and recurring restaurant programming. Collaborate with ownership to refine ideas and establish an agreed-upon content calendar. Bring fresh ideas and recommendations as the restaurant and its digital presence evolve. Content Creation Create photo, video, and graphic content for OPP's Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and other relevant social platforms. Adapt content to suit each platform's format and audience. Attend scheduled content days, restaurant events, and select experiences to capture photo and video content. Capture food, beverages, artwork, interiors, private events, and behind-the-scenes moments that reflect OPP's identity. Create and edit short-form videos, including Instagram Reels and TikToks. Develop graphics and other visual assets using Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools. Collaborate with ownership on content concepts and captions that reflect OPP's established brand voice. Work with the team to organize approved content through a shared scheduling app. Organize and deliver completed content by agreed-upon deadlines. Qualifications & Expectations Experience creating social media content for a personal brand, business, organization, or creative project. Ability to develop content ideas and translate a brand's identity into a cohesive digital content plan. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest, including the different types of content suited to each platform. Experience creating and editing short-form video content. Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, or comparable creative tools. A strong sense of visual storytelling, composition, and brand consistency. Ability to capture usable photo and video content using a smartphone or camera. Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to present creative ideas, take direction, and collaborate with ownership. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines. Interest in food, hospitality, art, culture, and local experiences. Availability to work on-site in Baltimore for scheduled content days and select events. A professional photography background is not required. We're more interested in your creative perspective, storytelling ability, and understanding of what makes content engaging. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can walk into OPP, understand what we're building, and see the possibilities for telling that story online. Someone who notices the details, understands the energy of a room, and can turn those observations into creative concepts—not just individual posts. You should be comfortable presenting ideas, explaining your creative thinking, taking direction, and collaborating with ownership to develop a cohesive digital presence. We know who OPP is. We're looking for someone who can help us show the world. This is a freelance, project-based content creation opportunity, not a full-time social media management position. OPP's ownership team will guide the brand's overall vision and direction, while the content creator will play an active role in developing and executing its digital storytelling. We'll establish content days, deliverables, and deadlines together based on the agreed-upon project scope. How to Apply Please submit your resume and a portfolio or examples of social media content you've created. We'd love to see your work across photography, short-form video, graphics, or digital storytelling. Personal projects, student work, and content developed for small businesses are welcome. We're interested in your creative perspective, attention to detail, and ability to bring a brand's story to life. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to visit OPP, experience the space, and learn more about the vision behind the restaurant.
