Position Title:
Marketplace Associate Position Overview:
In this role, as the Marketplace Associate you will support and manage day-to-day operations across multiple eCommerce marketplaces, including Macy's, eBay, Kohl's, and others. This role will be required to collaborate with U.S. time zones, and the candidate must be based in South Africa.
Objectives & Responsibilities:
Own day-to-day operations across assigned marketplaces (Macy's, eBay, Kohl's, etc.) Monitor account health, product visibility, and overall marketplace performance. Ensure pricing, inventory, and content remain accurate and competitive. Manage marketplace platforms powered by Mirakl, including product uploads, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring. Manage product listings, including titles, bullets, images, and backend attributes Optimize listings for SEO and conversion based on marketplace-specific best practices Coordinate with internal teams (content, creative, compliance) to update and improve PDPs Track and report on key KPIs (GMV, ROAS, TACoS, conversion rate, traffic) Identify growth opportunities across assortment, pricing, promotions, and content. Assist in planning and executing promotions, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches. Work closely with internal teams including Marketplace Ops, Advertising, Creative, and Brand Management. Collaborate with external partners and marketplace reps when applicable. Support workflow management through tools like ClickUp, Salsify, and other internal systems. Communicate effectively across teams using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools. Ensure smooth order flow, inventory availability, and issue resolution. Identify inefficiencies and help improve processes and SOPs.
Skills & Qualifications:
3-4 years of experience in eCommerce or marketplace management Experience working with marketplaces such as Macy's, eBay, Kohl's, Walmart, or similar Experience with or strong understanding of Mirakl-based marketplace platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other communication/collaboration tools. Strong analytical mindset with experience tracking and interpreting performance data. Familiarity with tools like Salsify, Seller Center platforms, Excel, or similar systems. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple brands and priorities simultaneously. Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
