  • This is a temporary position for an initial term of three (3) months.
  • Continuation or renewal beyond the initial term is not guaranteed and is subject to operational needs, funding availability, and satisfactory performance, at the sole discretion of the City.
Compensation:
$24.00 per hour
Position Summary:
The Digital Content & Marketing Associate supports the mission of the North Shore Children's Museum by creating engaging digital content that connects families to the Museum's exhibits, programs, and events. This position plays a key role in digital storytelling,munity outreach, and on-site engagement through thoughtful, family-friendlymunications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions listed below are intended to illustrate the general nature of the work and are not an exhaustive list of all duties. Digital Content & Communications
  • Create and manage engaging digital content, including photos, videos, social media posts, stories, and updates.
  • Write clear, creative, and family-friendly copy for social media platforms, web pages, and newsletters, consistent with the Museum's brand voice.
  • Capture,anize, and archive digital media from Museum exhibits, programs, and events for promotional use.
  • Maintain and update a content calendar in coordination with Museum leadership.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and rmend strategies to improve digital outreach.
  • Collaborate with Museum staff to highlight programs, partnerships, and visitor experiences.
  • Ensure all content aligns with accessibility, inclusivity, and tone guidelines. Additional Duties
  • Perform other related duties as needed to meet the operational needs of the Museum and the City of Peabody.
  • Assist with administrative, visitor services, and fundraising tasks as required.
  • Support Museum-wide events and initiatives, which may occasionally include evenings or weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Education, Museum Studies, or a related field preferred. 
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in digital marketing,munications, or social media management preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills. 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (, , ) and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Experience working with children (ages 1-8) and families preferred. 
  • Stronganizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, collaborative attitude. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. 
  • Must successfully pass a CORI background check prior to hire.
Work Environment:
 
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods of time. 
  • Frequent interaction with the public, including children. 
  • Reaching, bending, lifting, and pushing up to 30 pounds. 
  • Combination of on-floor and office-based work. 
  • Typical weekly schedule averages up to 19.
