Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and organized sales/marketing assistant to support our sales team and director. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to help maintain strong customer relationships, ensure product and customer data is accurate and up to date, support the sales team, and assist with marketing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the sales team with daily administrative tasks, including preparing pricing, proposals, and sales presentations. Maintain and update product databases with accurate information. Assist in customer setup process. Includes learning new customer specific systems. Prepare reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management review. Collaborate with internal departments and sales team to address customer/new item setup. Assist with marketing opportunities and provide data needed for campaigns. Qualifications & amp; Experience High School Diploma required; Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative roles (experience in the food or CPG industry is a strong plus). Familiarity with food manufacturing, supply chain, and retail sales channels is highly desirable (previous experience with a food distributor or as a food broker is a strong plus).
Requirements:
Required Skills & Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of managing multiple requests in a timely manner. Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). High attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities. Basic understanding of food industry regulations (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.) is a plus. Perform other assigned duties Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
