This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, research, and digital media, while contributing to projects that highlight TX Citywides expertise in workforce development consulting. The intern will support several marketing and communications initiatives including: Planning and idea generation for a semi-monthly newsletter Creating short-form video content for social media Researching workforce development trends Supporting the planning and organization of the companys new website This role is mentored and structured, designed to build professional skills in communication, digital media, research, and project organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Newsletter Planning & Development Brainstorm newsletter topics and sections Research workforce trends and tips for employers Draft content ideas or short articles Assist with layout concepts and graphics under guidance
Goal:
Contribute to a reusable newsletter template and provide content ideas for future issues 2. Short-Form Video Support Help plan video concepts for social media Record clips and gather visuals Organize video clips and captions into a simple digital library Learn basic video editing tools with guidance
Goal:
Build a small library of video content ready for future editing and use 3. Workforce Research & Trends Conduct guided research on workforce topics and training programs Summarize findings in simple, clear notes or slides Help prepare a practice presentation for leadership

Present insights on workforce trends and how TX Citywide supports clients 4. Website Content Development & Organization The intern will assist with the planning and organization of TX Citywides new website. Website Content Copywriting Assist in drafting clear, client-focused copy for new website pages Ensure messaging emphasizes workforce development consulting, workshops, facilitation, and advisory services Collaborate on headline ideas, taglines, and descriptive content Website Planning & Structure Help organize pages, sections, and navigation flow Suggest logical structure for services, client resources, and educational content Create a simple site map or visual outline for review Digital Asset Organization Collect and organize graphics, photos, and previous content for the website Tag and categorize materials for easy implementation
Goal:
Support the development of a well-organized website structure and draft content ideas that clearly communicate TX Citywides services. Learning Outcomes Interns will gain experience in: Professional writing and communication Digital marketing and social media content creation Basic research and presentation development Website planning and content organization Project management and teamwork Understanding workforce development consulting
Duration Internship:
8 weeks (flexible with workforce program requirements) In-person Qualifications Have an interest in marketing, communications, or business Creative, motivated, and eager to learn Comfortable using computers and digital tools Willing to participate in guided research and project tasks Strong willingness to take direction and ask questions Pay Pay will be $10-$15 an hour depending on prior experience.
