POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Marketing Manager translates company and marketing objectives into integrated programs that drive customer growth, retention, engagement, vendor-funded revenue, and sales performance. This role leads multi-channel marketing initiatives across vendor/partner marketing, promotions, acquisition, retention, channel marketing, content, social media, trade shows, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded marketer who can lead planning, analysis, collaboration, and execution in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated Marketing Strategy:
Develops and executes integrated marketing plans aligned with company objectives, driving customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue growth across all sales and marketing channels.
Vendor Relations & Monetization:
Builds strong relationships with vendor partners and develops vendor-funded marketing programs that create measurable value, strengthen partnerships, and generate incremental marketing revenue.
Promotional Planning:
Leads the development and execution of the promotional calendar in partnership with Purchasing, Sales, and Ecommerce, aligning product priorities, vendor opportunities, and customer needs.
Customer Acquisition:
Develops strategies to attract and convert new customers across sales and marketing channels, using customer insights, segmentation, testing, and performance data to optimize acquisition efforts.
Customer Retention & Loyalty:
Develops and executes retention and loyalty strategies designed to increase customer engagement, repeat purchase, reactivation, and lifetime value.
Channel Marketing:
Partners with leadership to develop marketing programs, messaging, promotions, and resources that support the needs and growth objectives of each sales channel.
Content & Social Media:
Leads content and social media strategy, including educational, product-focused, and video content designed to engage customers, support sales, and strengthen Phillips & King's position as a trusted industry resource.
Strategic Projects & Events:
Provides marketing leadership for white-label initiatives, product launches, trade shows, customer events, and other strategic projects requiring cross-functional planning and execution.
Performance Analytics:
Establishes key performance indicators and analyzes marketing, customer, and campaign performance to optimize programs, improve ROI, and identify growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Ecommerce, Creative, Operations, and other teams to align marketing initiatives and ensure effective execution.
Team Leadership:
Manages a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;
7+ years of progressive marketing experience, with demonstrated success leading integrated marketing programs and campaigns.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms.
Creative problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in B2B, wholesale, distribution, or a similarly complex multi-channel business environment strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of integrated marketing principles across digital, e-commerce, email/CRM, promotional marketing, content, social media, events, and customer lifecycle marketing.
Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing techniques and technologies.
This role involves occasional travel. Physical and Safety Requirements
Environment :
Ability to sit and work at a computer station for extended periods.
Physical handling : Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
