Book Internet Marketing Manager I am seeking a person to manage my books on the internet for the long run, indefinitely. It will not require a lot of time from your schedule as most everything is basically setup and running. The prime objective will be to maintain the book's internet presence. The main book, The Inner Passage of the Sixth Chakra (soon to be changed to The Inner Passage along with a new cover) , is non-fiction and is a blend of Transcendence, known as Samadhi from Eastern Philosophy, and Ascension as exemplified by Jesus. There is a prequel to this book, A Spiritual Journey (an introduction for the novice), and two other pamphlets, chapter excerpts on related subjects to be managed as well. I would like someone interested in or at the least receptive to the book's subject as your belief must not conflict with it. It would be advisable to review one or more of the book's internet sites as you would be working with these sites (sites are listed below). The Inner Passage was written for a select but narrow group of advance souls, and although that market may be slim, that will be the emphasis of any marketing. They will be your target audience. While its prequel, A Spiritual Journey , can be marketed, it and the literature were created to lead the reader to the main book.
My over all philosophy:
Write it, and those for whom it was meant will find it. (Thus, its minimal but long-term marketing and availability.) Qualification and Duties The Book Manager's duties require assuring the book's active listing with Amazon and other similar platforms (to be established). This would include minimal but long-term internet marketing. I also have a website, Inner-Passage.com, and a Facebook page which would need to be updated as needed and monitored so they are always up and running. Secondary importance to the book's listings and website, would be maintaining the book's Facebook pages, and to establish and maintain its presence in other social media platforms. While the long-term marketing will be minimal, exploring various marketing platforms to find the best ones will be required. Once everything is in place, a moderate marketing book launch will be employed and repeated once or twice a year if effective. The position is an entrepreneurship in which the candidate will have to take the initiative and control of the project to maintain the primary objective. While its marketing is essential, it is secondary to maintaining the book's availability. This will require simply checking on each site once a week to make sure they are up and running, even though the web site will notify you if it is down and always self-corrected. This will take less than an hour unless there is an issue than needs attention. Amazon, Inner-Passage.com and Facebook have been down or needed maintenance or attention since their inception. But if it should happen, you will need to assess and remedy the problem. Otherwise, experience in diverse internet marketing will be essential along with varied social media development. Experience in social media ad placement and website management is desired; however, familiarity in these areas will suffice if you take the initiative to become proficient in them in the short run. Until then, outside help may be hired and to learn from. Attitude, following instructions, and initiative will be the most qualifying attributes. Compensation and Commitment Orientation and training during completion of the setup stage will be dealt with separately.
Supplemental Income:
Once the project is fully operational, the position would require and compensate for 6 hours a month of monitoring and minor maintenance. Unused hours will be carried over to a time when they are needed. This contractual position would provide an initial supplemental income of $150 a month for monitoring and maintenance based on $25 an hour, to include managing one or two passive/minimal, on-going, low-cost marketing channels. If special maintenance circumstances arise requiring your time beyond the 6 hour max, you will be compensated at $25 per hour. Monthly income will be adjusted to reflect the annual cost of living increase.
Annual Bonus:
An annual bonus of $3000 with $300 annual increases will be provided as an incentive to commit as the book's manager - as allowed by existing funds.
Royalties:
25% royalties (passive/minimal), and up to 50% royalties (assertive) will be paid as an incentive commission to take the initiative to creatively manage marketing on your own time beyond the passive/minimal marketing description and time requirements to sell the book.
Hiring Bonus:
$1000. Paid Over Two Month. Establishing other similar management accounts or income are encouraged as needed; Thus, a lucrative lifelong business model/income can be established. Presently, the book's listing on Amazon, its website Inner-Passage.com (a static blog), and Facebook's two pages (The Inner Passage and Author Page - a scaled-down version of the website) are set up and have not required any maintenance for years (other than assuring they are operational and providing an occasional content update). At this time, traffic to these sites will not be targeted to the books buyer's return once they have purchased the book. Thus, it will be fresh and new to the targeted first-time visitor, which is its main focus. Thus, it will require little to no change other than to occasionally rotate or add content. However, I will need help switching website platforms, in migrating from Host Gator to . SiteGround is a simple website platform for static websites which is more advanced with zero downtime compared to HostGator. I will require the manager to learn how to make website updates, add features as needed, and make design changes and repair as needed. Sooner than later, I will place the complete operation in your hands where you will make executive/CEO decisions.
On a personal note:
Ultimately, while you can work remotely from home or elsewhere, I will need to work closely with you to get everything finely tuned and ready to hand over to you. While I'd prefer to work with someone locally, the best person for the job may live elsewhere. Either way, we will need to meet in person to close the deal, and on occasion, as needed, either in Colorado or where you live. Your professionalism, adaptability, grounded maturity, and mutual respect are essential as will be your integrity and honesty. Caring for others as one would respect themselves is a virtue I seek in the person I will hire. More than a professional under contractual relations, I hope to establish a casual friendship, as this would be the ideal I'd pursue in a work place if I had several employees or worked for someone. That said, I must forewarn that I will not tolerate anger or any sort of abuse to any degree and will terminate the contact without further warning. If such behavior is accepted as part of your social makeup, it would be best not to apply for this position. In your response, address the points of this proposal, book, or website that appeal to you (or don't appeal to you). What are your long-term career (and/or retirement) plans? Inform me of anything else that will tell me who you are and why you would be the best person for this position …along with any questions and your resume. To those who are seriously interested, it would be to your advantage to take to heart everything I said and follow up with the above requests with your resume if I am to seriously consider and respond to your application. Sending me only your resume may not be reviewed. Inner-Passage.
