After that date, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Responsibilities ByWay Foods Sales Representative (55% of time): Develop and implement robust quarterly work plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals for wholesale and institutional market channels Develop and maintain a portfolio of customers for fresh-cut produce and wholesale produce Engage prospective and current customers through weekly contacts Log customer contacts through Working Landscapes' CRM Produce monthly reports of sales contact engagements and outcomes, to be presented during monthly ByWay Foods Sales & Expense report meeting Coordinate with ByWay Foods Administrative Coordinator on Accounts Receivable for food hub programs to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and regular payment Organizational Marketing & Communications (20% of time): Participate in biweekly communications team meetings to discuss goals, organizational alignment, and ongoing efforts Support Working Landscapes' general marketing and communication efforts, including the production of a monthly newsletter and social media posts Lead on ByWay Foods focused communications, including website updates and the distribution of an institutional and wholesale focused customer newsletter Supervise the communications work of the Operations & Communications Coordinator Development & Fundraising Support (10% of time) Support Working Landscapes leadership in fundraising strategy development, in alignment with sales goals Engage in private donor fundraising efforts as requested, including supporting the event-planning for in-person events Support in grant writing efforts as requested ByWay Foods Value Chain & Market Development (5% of time): Develop and deepen relationships with retail partners, wholesale food buyers, individual consumers, distributors, farmers and other food system stakeholders Demonstrate initiative and leadership in strengthening our regional food systems programs, including convening partners to undertake new collaborations Engage institutional customers, including school districts, in regular dialogues about barriers to local food procurement to identify solutions and paths of collaboration Participate in food hub collaborative (NC Food Hub Collaborative, Eastern Food Hub Collaborative) calls and working sessions to advance hub-to-hub trading Other Administrative and Organizational Duties (10% of time): Attend bi-weekly all staff meetings and participate in all-staff professional development and organizational planning efforts Provide feedback, insights and leadership to improve operations and organizational culture Stay abreast of relevant news and developments in the sector; engage in professional development. Contribute to Working Landscapes' regional leadership regarding food systems and climate resilience; represent the organization as requested at events/meetings; cultivate opportunities for new partnerships that advance our mission Utilize company project management software and digital systems as directed Other tasks as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 4+ years in a professional work environment, with preference given to sales & food service/agricultural roles Experience in mission-driven sales work strongly preferred Highly organized and oriented towards building and maintaining systems Personable and friendly to strangers and staff members alike, with strong communication skills Exhibits honesty and works with integrity Able and willing to creatively engage in responsibilities, and accept responsibility for outcomes Adaptive and willing to learn Willingness to ask questions and engage in problem solving with team members Fosters a healthy, respectful, adaptive, and productive workplace culture, promoting positive interactions among team members.
