Job Description

Description:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring superior guest service by planning and execution of promotions, events, and other marketing activities. The Marketing Manager is responsible for programing multiple systems, working with multiple departments on ideas and implementation of marketing plans while providing superior guest service when interacting with internal and external customers in an efficient and friendly manner. The Marketing Manager manages on-property Marketing Coordinators, all promotions, and events, and is responsible for categorizing players into tiers. Manages internal printed and digital collateral while directing advertising and social media efforts and the selection and purchase of gifts given during events. This position must be able to adhere to and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent required. Previous managerial/leadership experience (casino environment experience is preferred) Previous cashier experience in a casino environment or Casino promotions/players club experience preferred. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must possess excellent communication and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Basic graphic design software familiarity is preferred. Must be able to meet firm deadlines with quick turnaround times and ensure key stakeholders are current on project statuses. Excellent customer service and recovery skills required. Minimum age of 21 years.
Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English language. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent customer relations and communication skills. An outgoing, approachable personality with the ability to meet and greet both our established patrons as well as newcomers to the property. Ability to work effectively and cordially with co-workers and management to resolve disputes and customer issues. Ability to work effectively and cordially with co-workers and management. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to write clearly and informatively. Excellent organizational abilities (ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze and account for cash and coin). Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Ability to always maintain a high standard of professionalism—while on or off duty. Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events. Sign up and issue guests Player's Cards. Add Free Play to Player's Cards as needed. Supervises promotion coordinators and or marketing team members. Analyzes marketing trends to ensure necessary changes are implemented. Assists with marketing budget and business plans for all assigned properties. Manages activities of Marketing Coordinators at assigned properties to ensure objectives are met. Attends regional meetings to ensure promotions are aligned with Truckee Gaming expectations and standards. Assists in managing the employee loyalty benefit program. Maintains inventory and implements control of Players' Club merchandise and promotional materials. Resolves customer complaints/issues in a professional, friendly manner. Plans the coordination and execution of Players' Club promotions. Assures that all rules and log sheets pertaining to events are complete and posted. Ensures that all Casino Marketing efforts are properly coordinated with other departments. Maintains a positive attitude and has great energy. Travel between three locations in Dayton.
Work Environment and ADA Requirements:
Must be able to sit, walk, and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to move about the casino and operational areas freely, without restriction. Must be able to speak clearly on a microphone based on business needs. Must be able to converse over the telephone in a clear and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and reach. Must have the manual dexterity required to write and operate computer. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. When on the casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
