Marketing Manager Cincinnati, Ohio | On-Site | Full-Time Base Salary $100,000 target; flexibility to $120,000 Bonus 10% performance-based opportunity Experience 5-8 years preferred; additional experience considered Networks Connect has been engaged by our client, an established sell-side investment banking and M&A advisory firm, to identify a hands-on Marketing Manager for its Cincinnati-area office. This is an opportunity for a versatile B2B marketer who can pair strategic thinking with day-to-day execution and help turn thought leadership, campaigns, and digital activity into measurable business development pipeline. The Opportunity This is not a traditional people-management position. The Marketing Manager will primarily operate as an individual contributor, owning the execution of the firm's marketing engine while coordinating select outside creative resources and internal support. The right person will be comfortable deciding what needs to be done and then personally doing the work - from writing a publish-ready article to building a HubSpot workflow, updating website content, launching a campaign, and reporting the results. The role is well suited to a marketer who enjoys broad ownership, sophisticated B2B subject matter, and close partnership with business development and senior leadership. The firm's existing thought-leadership content provides a strong foundation, while its evolving use of AI and marketing automation creates an opportunity to improve efficiency, lead generation, and audience engagement. Key Responsibilities Develop, edit, and publish B2B content including LinkedIn posts, blogs, case studies, deal stories, and thought-leadership materials. Build, segment, test, and deploy email campaigns and nurture workflows in HubSpot; maintain list hygiene, deliverability, and clean CRM handoffs. Support targeted lead-generation and account-based marketing programs and connect campaign activity to qualified opportunities and pipeline. Create and maintain on-brand email templates, one-pagers, pitch collateral, presentations, and social graphics using established brand standards. Maintain website content and routine CMS updates; address on-page SEO/AEO needs and ensure forms, tracking, and calls-to-action function properly. Build, monitor, and optimize paid LinkedIn and search campaigns against budget, cost-per-lead, and conversion goals. Track and report marketing performance, translating campaign activity into meaningful lead, pipeline, and revenue indicators. Coordinate webinars, tradeshows, speaking engagements, industry awards, and other targeted market-engagement activities. Manage day-to-day relationships with outside agencies, designers, freelancers, and internal support resources. Help administer and improve the marketing technology stack, including HubSpot, CMS tools, social scheduling, design platforms, and AI-enabled workflows. What Our Client Is Looking For 5-8 years of B2B marketing experience is preferred; candidates with additional relevant experience will be considered. B2B marketing experience is required. Financial services, banking, wealth management, investment banking, insurance, accounting/advisory, or other professional-services experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor rather than relying on a large internal team. Strong business writing and editing skills with the ability to produce polished content for an executive/business-owner audience. Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform, including email, forms, workflows, segmentation, and reporting. Working knowledge of CMS administration, SEO/AEO, paid social/search, marketing analytics, and digital campaign measurement. Practical design capability using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools; able to produce professional assets within established brand standards. Comfort working with AI-enabled marketing tools and an interest in using technology to improve content development, lead generation, and workflow efficiency. Highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines with limited oversight. Why This Role May Be Compelling Broad ownership of a sophisticated B2B marketing function without the administrative burden of managing a large department. Direct visibility and collaboration with senior leadership, business development professionals, and experienced advisors. Established content and thought-leadership resources to build from rather than starting from a blank slate. Opportunity to work with an evolving HubSpot and AI-enabled marketing environment focused on measurable revenue impact. Competitive compensation with a target base near $100,000, flexibility to approximately $120,000 for the right candidate, plus a 10% performance-based bonus opportunity.
