This is the company's marketing function, not a piece of it. The person in this seat runs the websites and ecommerce, digital and email marketing, social media, radio and broadcast advertising, brand and store marketing, print collateral, and event presence. Janz is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business operating roughly 35 retail home medical equipment locations on military installations across the continental United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim, alongside a government and military contracting business covering medical equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and services. Our customers are service members, military retirees, their families, and federal agencies. Our stores operate as concessions on base. Marketing in this environment has real constraints, and part of this job is knowing them and working well inside them. This position reports to the President. Ecommerce and Digital Own all company websites end to end, including content, product listings, pricing display, imagery, categorization, site search, and staff and leadership information. Hold and maintain company administrative control of all websites, hosting, domains, DNS, and marketing platforms. Credentials are company owned and individually assigned, and are never transmitted in plain text. Ensure orders placed on the site flow correctly into the order and billing systems, and work with operations and IT to resolve breaks in that flow. Maintain and test site forms, contact paths, and customer-facing communication so inbound inquiries actually reach a person. Manage search engine optimization, site analytics, and conversion tracking, and report on traffic, orders, and revenue by channel. Manage the technical relationship for the website, whether internal or with an outside developer, and hold that relationship to response times and deliverables. Maintain company-held access so the site is never dependent on a vendor to stay online. Monitor site uptime and maintain current records of domain registration, DNS, hosting, and renewal dates so nothing lapses. Run email marketing, including list management, segmentation, campaign build, send, and performance reporting. Manage paid digital advertising where used, including budget, targeting, and return on spend. Broadcast and Advertising Produce recurring radio advertising for installation and exchange audiences, including scripting, production, scheduling, and placement. Route advertising to regional management for review and approval before it airs, and maintain a record of what was approved and when. Ensure advertising accurately represents the company, including its status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and does not overstate certifications, accreditation, or product availability at specific locations. Confirm advertised products are actually stocked and sold at the locations covered by the advertisement before it runs. Track advertising spend, placement, and results. Brand, Store, and Field Marketing Maintain a consistent brand across all locations, materials, and channels, including signage, print collateral, business cards, bags, uniforms, vehicles, and digital presence. Maintain a single master template for business cards and standard collateral across all locations rather than location-by-location variations, and verify contact information and titles are correct before anything goes to print. Retire legacy and acquired branding from all customer-facing materials, coordinating with operations so locations are not left without supplies during changeover. Develop in-store marketing, point of purchase materials, signage, and promotional displays, and coordinate distribution to locations in the United States and overseas. Work within installation and exchange service requirements, including obtaining approval for signage, promotions, and on-base marketing activity before it is deployed. Support the store image and remodel program with brand standards, signage specifications, and imagery. Produce and maintain photography and video assets of products, stores, and staff for use across channels. Maintain product catalogs, sell sheets, and customer-facing product information. Social, Content, and Communications Own the company social media presence, including content planning, posting, community management, and reporting. Write and edit marketing copy for web, email, print, and social. Develop content that speaks credibly to a military and veteran audience without trading on it. Support recruiting and employer brand where marketing assets are needed, and respond to impersonation or fraudulent use of the company name on job boards and social platforms. Produce internal communications, including a company newsletter, that reach staff across all regions. Vendor, Partner, and Event Marketing Identify and capture manufacturer cooperative marketing funds and vendor marketing support available to Janz, and document and report on their use. Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors on product launches, promotions, and co-branded materials. Produce capability statements, presentations, and partner-facing materials in support of business development. Support trade show and conference presence, including booth materials, signage, and follow-up assets. Any item intended for distribution to service members or beneficiaries goes through compliance review first. Manage print and promotional vendors, including quoting, quality, turnaround, and resolution of failed or defective orders. Confirm delivery in full before an invoice is approved for payment. Coordinate print and collateral shipments to overseas locations, including quantities, timing, and the shipping and documentation those locations require. Planning, Budget, and Compliance Build and maintain a marketing calendar aligned to product, seasonal, and store priorities. Build and manage the marketing budget, track spend against plan by program, and report return on marketing investment. Maintain a current inventory of every marketing program in flight and what each costs. Report marketing performance to leadership on a regular cadence with numbers, not impressions of activity. Ensure all marketing complies with applicable healthcare advertising rules, including requirements that apply to products billed to Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and other federal health care programs. Understand and work within beneficiary inducement and Anti-Kickback restrictions. Discounts, giveaways, free items, and promotional offers directed at federal health care program beneficiaries carry legal restrictions and must be routed for compliance review before they are offered or advertised. No promotion is committed to a customer, a vendor, or an installation before that review is complete. Route promotional proposals through the established approval path with product cost and margin information attached, so decisions are made on data rather than on enthusiasm. Use accreditation marks and certifications, including registered marks belonging to accrediting bodies, only in the form and manner those bodies authorize. Confirm claims about certifications, accreditation status, and location counts are accurate and current before they are published. Ensure no patient or customer image, testimonial, or health information is used without written authorization, in accordance with HIPAA. Maintain brand and marketing files in a shared company location so the work is not held by one person. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated experience owning marketing for an organization or a significant business unit, across both digital and traditional channels. Hands-on ecommerce experience, including managing a live site, product content, and the connection between the site and back-end systems. Working knowledge of SEO, web analytics, email marketing platforms, and social media management. Strong writing and editing ability. This role writes the copy, it does not only approve it. Design capability sufficient to produce and edit marketing materials, or to direct a designer effectively. Ability to manage a budget and report results in numbers. Ability to work independently and own outcomes with limited direction. Comfort working across multiple systems and platforms, and the ability to learn new ones. Willingness to operate inside a regulated environment. Marketing here has real legal constraints and the right instinct is to ask before publishing, not after. Discipline around account ownership, credentials, and asset custody. Preferred Experience marketing healthcare products, medical devices, durable medical equipment, or products billed to insurance. Experience marketing to a military, veteran, or government audience. Experience with retail or multi-location marketing. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design tools. Experience owning a marketing function directly rather than managing it through an agency. Experience marketing in a regulated industry with a legal or compliance review step. Experience and Education Three or more years of marketing experience with hands-on ownership of digital and brand work. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
