Position Overview We're looking for a creative, energetic, self-motivated Digital Marketing Manager who loves meeting people, telling stories, and creating content. This role combines marketing, journalism, photography, videography, podcast production, social media management, and community engagement. You'll travel throughout Tennessee highlighting outstanding local businesses while helping build one of the state's fastest-growing digital media brands. Primary ResponsibilitiesContent & Social Media Execute and grow The Volunteer social media strategy. Manage Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Publish engaging daily content featuring Tennessee businesses. Write compelling captions and business stories. Develop recurring content series and campaigns. Monitor analytics and optimize engagement. Business Features Visit businesses throughout Tennessee to create professional feature content.
Responsibilities include:
Interview business owners Capture professional photography Produce short-form video Create Reels and Shorts Write business profiles Highlight products, services, and company culture Every visit should generate content across multiple platforms. Podcast Production Coordinate and produce The Volunteer Podcast , including: Scheduling guests Preparing interview outlines Recording episodes Editing audio/video Publishing podcasts Creating promotional clips Topics include: Entrepreneurship Small business Tennessee communities Skilled trades Leadership Family businesses Photography & Video Production Capture high-quality visual content including: Business photography Team portraits Product photography Project showcases Customer interactions Drone photography and video (FAA Part 107 certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Cinematic business highlight videos Email Newsletter Growth Help build Tennessee's premier local business newsletter.
