VP of Marketing Position Summary The Brand Engagement Manager is responsible for strengthening The Home Doctor's brand presence and creating meaningful connections with homeowners across organic social media, events, community partnerships, sponsorships, and other brand-building channels. This role owns the company's organic social media presence and event marketing program, including content planning, community engagement, home shows, local events, sponsorships, partnerships, and brand activations. The Brand Engagement Manager ensures The Home Doctor is represented consistently, professionally, and authentically across every customer-facing touchpoint. The Brand Engagement Manager develops and executes programs that increase brand awareness, build customer trust, generate qualified inquiries, and support the company's overall growth objectives. Success in this role requires creativity, strong organization, hands-on execution, excellent communication, and the ability to connect brand-building activity to measurable marketing results. Key Responsibilities Organic Social Media Management Own the planning, execution, and performance of The Home Doctor's organic social media presence. Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar aligned with company campaigns, promotions, events, seasons, and business priorities. Manage the company's organic presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Create and publish a consistent mix of educational, promotional, community-focused, employee-focused, and customer-focused content. Write engaging social media copy that reflects the company's brand voice, value proposition, and customer messaging. Coordinate the creation of graphics, photos, short-form videos, project showcases, testimonials, and employee content. Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, tags, and customer interactions across social platforms. Respond to social media engagement promptly and professionally, escalating customer concerns when appropriate. Identify platform trends, content opportunities, and audience behaviors that can improve reach and engagement. Ensure all social media activity is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with company standards. Content Development & Brand Storytelling Identify and develop stories that showcase The Home Doctor's customers, employees, projects, products, community involvement, and company culture. Coordinate with Sales, Production, Operations, and other departments to gather photos, videos, project updates, and customer stories. Capture or coordinate content at installations, company events, community programs, employee activities, and other relevant locations. Develop customer testimonials, project spotlights, before-and-after features, employee profiles, and educational content. Conduct or coordinate interviews with customers, employees, and company leaders. Organize and maintain libraries of approved photos, videos, testimonials, logos, event materials, and other brand assets. Repurpose content across social media, email, the company website, recruitment efforts, and other organic marketing channels. Ensure all customer and project content has the appropriate approvals before publication. Event Marketing & Execution Own the planning, coordination, execution, and performance measurement of home shows, community events, festivals, fairs, sponsorship events, and other in-person marketing opportunities. Research and evaluate event opportunities based on target audience, location, expected attendance, cost, historical performance, and strategic fit. Maintain an annual and monthly event calendar. Manage event registrations, applications, contracts, deadlines, insurance requirements, booth specifications, and vendor communication. Coordinate event staffing, schedules, training, transportation, setup, breakdown, signage, displays, promotional items, and marketing materials. Ensure event staff understand company messaging, customer-engagement expectations, qualification standards, and lead-capture procedures. Develop event-specific offers, contests, engagement strategies, demonstrations, and calls to action. Attend and oversee priority events to ensure professional execution and brand consistency. Ensure all event leads are captured accurately and entered into MarketSharp promptly. Conduct post-event evaluations to measure lead volume, appointment performance, cost efficiency, revenue contribution, and overall event value. Community Partnerships & Sponsorships Identify and develop relationships with local businesses, community organizations, charities, associations, and other potential partners. Evaluate sponsorship and partnership opportunities based on audience alignment, brand exposure, community impact, cost, and potential business value. Coordinate The Home Doctor's participation in charitable initiatives, local sponsorships, and community programs. Develop co-marketing opportunities with complementary businesses and strategic partners. Maintain ongoing communication with event organizers, sponsored organizations, and community partners. Ensure sponsorship benefits, signage, promotional mentions, digital placements, and other contracted deliverables are fulfilled. Represent The Home Doctor professionally at community functions, networking events, and partnership meetings. Develop content that highlights the company's community involvement and local relationships. Brand Reputation & Customer Advocacy Support the company's reputation-management efforts by identifying opportunities to generate customer reviews, testimonials, referrals, and user-generated content. Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Operations to identify satisfied customers willing to share their experiences. Monitor brand mentions, customer sentiment, comments, and public feedback across social media and relevant online platforms. Escalate negative feedback or customer concerns to the appropriate department promptly. Assist in developing campaigns that encourage customer advocacy, testimonials, referrals, and social sharing. Ensure public-facing responses are timely, professional, and consistent with company standards. Identify recurring customer questions, objections, and feedback that can inform future content and messaging. Brand Standards & Consistency Ensure The Home Doctor's visual identity, messaging, tone, and value proposition are represented consistently across social media, events, sponsorships, and community programs. Review event materials, signage, promotional items, social content, and partnership assets for brand accuracy. Maintain current brand guidelines and approved templates for social media and event marketing. Educate employees and event representatives on appropriate brand messaging and presentation standards. Identify inconsistencies in brand execution and recommend corrective action. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the VP of Marketing to align organic social media, event marketing, and community activity with broader marketing goals. Collaborate with the Inbound Lead Pipeline Manager to ensure inquiries generated through social media and events receive timely follow-up. Work with the Director of Marketing Operations & Lead Performance to ensure accurate source tracking, event attribution, and performance reporting. Coordinate with Sales leadership to improve event lead quality, customer messaging, and appointment opportunities. Partner with Production and Operations to identify completed projects and customer experiences suitable for content. Support recruiting and employee-engagement initiatives through company culture and employee-focused content. Assist with company promotions, announcements, campaign launches, and internal brand initiatives. Budget & Vendor Management Manage approved budgets for events, sponsorships, promotional products, content creation, and community programs. Track expenses and ensure activities remain within approved budgets. Coordinate with event organizers, printers, photographers, videographers, promotional-product suppliers, and other external vendors. Evaluate vendor pricing, quality, responsiveness, and reliability. Maintain accurate records of contracts, invoices, deadlines, deliverables, and event costs. Recommend budget adjustments based on event performance, engagement, lead generation, and strategic value. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Develop and maintain regular performance reporting for organic social media, events, sponsorships, and community partnerships. Track performance by platform, content type, event, campaign, location, and audience. Analyze which activities generate the strongest reach, engagement, inquiries, appointments, and revenue contribution. Present performance trends, opportunities, risks, and recommendations to the VP of Marketing. Test new content formats, platforms, event strategies, offers, partnerships, and engagement tactics. Develop and document repeatable processes for social media management, content collection, event execution, and lead capture. Monitor competitor activity, social media trends, platform updates, and local marketing opportunities. Qualifications Three or more years of experience in social media, event marketing, community marketing, brand marketing, content creation, public relations, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing organic social media accounts and content calendars. Experience planning and executing events, home shows, trade shows, sponsorships, or community programs. Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills. Ability to create engaging content for different audiences and social platforms. Strong project-management, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, vendors, and content priorities simultaneously. Comfortable representing the company publicly and developing professional community relationships. Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency. Ability to analyze performance data and use insights to improve content and event effectiveness. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on the event schedule. Ability to travel locally and coordinate the transportation of event materials when required. Proficiency with social media platforms, content scheduling tools, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic reporting tools. Preferred Experience Experience in home improvement, exterior remodeling, home services, construction, or another locally focused consumer-services industry. Experience generating leads through home shows, community events, sponsorships, or partnerships. Familiarity with MarketSharp or a similar CRM. Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, or other content-creation tools. Basic photography and short-form video production experience. Experience supporting customer reviews, testimonials, referral programs, or reputation-management initiatives. Experience coordinating promotional products, branded materials, event displays, or vendor relationships. Leadership Expectations The Brand Engagement Manager is expected to be a proactive, visible, and hands-on representative of The Home Doctor. This individual should be equally comfortable developing a social media strategy, capturing content at a customer project, coordinating a major home show, building a community partnership, and reviewing performance data. This role requires strong ownership, sound judgment, responsiveness, creativity, and consistent follow-through. The Brand Engagement Manager must protect the company's reputation while identifying opportunities to make the brand more visible, relatable, and trusted. Success will not be defined solely by follower counts, likes, impressions, or event attendance. The Brand Engagement Manager is expected to connect brand activity to meaningful outcomes, including stronger community awareness, customer engagement, qualified inquiries, appointments, reputation growth, and long-term revenue impact. Leads generated through events and organic social media are captured correctly, attributed accurately, and handed off promptly.
